N,N-Dimethylformamide (DMF, CAS 68-12-2) is a high-polarity, aprotic organic solvent widely used as a reaction medium and processing solvent across polymer, pharmaceutical, agrochemical, dye and electronics industries. DMF is valued for excellent solvency of polar and high-molecular-weight species, miscibility with water and many organics, and predictable performance in condensation, substitution and polymerization processes.
